Dungeoneer is a customizable, modular, and expandable fantasy board game for 2 or more players. The Basic Set comes with a rulebook, treasure cards, encounter cards, and map cards--everything you need for 2 to 4 players to enter the thrilling world of Dungeoneer.

Expansion sets will include New Characters, treasure cards, encounter cards, and of course...dungeon cards. You can combine sets to create your own adventure!

You play the part of a Hero adventuring through a dangerous labyrinth of Monsters, Magic and Treasure.

This simple-to-learn card game incorporates aspects of a fantasy RPG. It is engaging enough for a group of adult gamers, and yet we also play it with our 6-year-old son. It is an excellent way to bring the RPG/CCC world to your child, for those gamers out there who are now parents. Add the other decks for varied play. Art work is well done. And you don't have to keep buying collectible cards!

The dungeoneer series is sort of an RPG-"light" translated into a card game. Each deck is playable by itself but can also be combined with others for more variety, etc... Each player gets a character with varying skills and a special power. Two of the cards in the deck are cut apart to form pieces for markers and for the player characters. On your turn you first play cards against your opponents, then draw a new map card and play it to expand the dungeon. Finally, you move and play cards for your own character. The game has a fun "balance" to it in that players gain Peril points as well as Glory points.
